Splendora, TX — May 27, 2025—The Splendora Education Foundation is thrilled to announce the launch of the 2025 Summer Reading Program, a community-wide initiative designed to keep young students engaged, curious, and learning throughout the summer months. Primarily geared toward kindergarten through fifth-grade students, this program offers a fun and interactive way to strengthen reading skills and promote a lifelong love of books.
With generous support from the Junior League of The Woodlands and the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, the Foundation can provide free books, resources, and prizes to attendees at themed literacy events held at multiple community locations. Each event also features a complimentary dinner for all attending families, creating a warm and welcoming environment where students can thrive.
“Our summer reading initiative is focused on meeting students where they are—both academically and geographically,” said Katie Key, Foundation Coordinator of the Splendora Education Foundation. “By centering our efforts on our youngest learners, we’re helping build a strong foundation for success in school and beyond.”
